frehWell, it’s raining, again. It seems to be an everyday occurrence lately, and don’t get me wrong I am so, so happy it’s not snowing anymore, but I miss the sun.
So, to remind myself of the beauty that is soon to come, I’ve curated a collection of a few favourite floral trends. I’ll be stopping by our local florist this weekend too, I think a bunch of freshly picked Ontario Ranunculus will be perfect to brighten things up around here.
Here’s a peek at some awe inspiring floral arrangements, let us know what you think!
Gorgeous, over sized bouquets guarantee to make a statement and are another great way to express a little personality on your big day.
Wild, organic, textured, and a perfect example of why bigger is better this year.
Big and bold just not your thing? This perfectly curated little bouquet demonstrates that understated can still make a big statement.
This boho spread is just breathtaking.
Pastels and muted hues will forever be in demand but we are seeing a resurgence in bright, colourful arrangements and we’re loving it! Try adding a splash of colour to your flowers to bring some vibrancy and fun to your big day.
Speaking of colour, this striking bouquet serves as inspiration for my own wedding day. Vibrant and wild with stunning pops of colour, this one is as fun as it gets and I adore absolutely everything about it.
Farm to table is one of my favourite concepts and it is taking off in the floral realm too. Fresh, seasonal make for some of loveliest bouquets, portraying a whimsical, almost effortless look. Not to mention, locally sourced and in season flowers are the perfect choice for the Eco-conscious bride.
Wildflowers will forever have my heart.
Finally, we have to talk about greenery. Yes, you knew it was coming! Pantone recently announced Greenery as the 2017 color of the year, so how could we discuss floral trends without mentioning it?!
Foliage is going to be huge this year, and there are so many fun ways to run with this, so I think we can look forward to some truly beautiful displays this season.
My favourite today comes from a styled shoot with a bouquet created by a local—and truly talented— florist, Mint Floral Co. If I wasn’t head over heels in love with flowers, it would tempt me toward an all green bouquet. Plus, this photographer— Jennifer Moher— she works some serious magic.
So, what do you think? I’m certainly feeling a little more inspired on this dreary day.
